Listen up my whiteness had nothing to do with my state in my life: one of nine children, served in the military, widowed, three kids to raise, put myself through school to become a medical transcriptionist. Earned the home I own, pay taxes, and obey the law. Whiteness has NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. On the other hand I know people of color who have had “help” getting wherever they are—good or bad. If I am held accountable because of my whiteness are they held accountable because of their browness, blackness or whatever color they are? This is a bunch of crap.
